Write for Game Dev Beginner

If you have some experience in game development or the game development industry in general, either as an amateur or a professional, and would be interested in writing some paid articles for the blog, then I want to hear from you.

Right now, I’m interested in hearing from people who have some experience in any of the following areas of interest:

  • Unity, Unreal or Godot game development
    (e.g. scripting, animation, shaders, tools)
  • Design & production processes
(e.g. game design, level design, project management etc.)
  • Making your own assets & content
    (e.g. models, artwork, animation etc.)
  • Business focussed roles
(e.g. community management, marketing, funding, etc.)

You do not have to be an expert in your field, or a professional developer, or a professional writer to write about game development for my blog.

What really matters, is your ability to communicate.

While it is important that you have at least some experience in your area of interest (either it’s something you’ve done before or it’s something you understand well) it doesn’t matter to me if you’re an amateur or a professional.

What does matter to me is your ability to deliver your ideas and information in a way that is helpful to beginners.

Which can actually be a lot harder than it sounds.

But don’t worry, because if you do write for the blog, you’ll have my guidance and support available to you, should you need it.

What to do next

If you’re interested in writing for the blog, or helping out in some other way, please email me at [email protected] with your basic information, the work you’re interested in and a couple of links to examples of your work, either writing or work in your area of interest.

Please note, paid guest post circulars and link insertion emails will be ignored, I’m only interested in working with people who would like to create new, unique, content for the blog.
